1st Sgt. Gary Willis

He served in both Desert Storm and Desert Shield, as well as Iraq.  1st Sergeant Gary Willis, of Sedalia, has devoted his life to training cadets at Wentworth Military Academy and proudly serving our country.  His awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal with six oak leaf clusters, Army Achievement Medal with four oak leaf clusters, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Medal, Iraqi Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, United Nations Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal and the Saudi Arabia-Kuwaiti Liberation Medal.  He retired from the Army after 23 years of service on March 10, 2011.  Click to hear KMZU’s Chelsea Wade talk with 1st Sgt.
