2017 Missouri State Fair Highlights – August 12

SEDALIA, Mo. – Thousands of people flocked to Sedalia today to support youth, visit vendors, and enjoy entertainment at the Missouri State Fair.

A Maryville resident, Royse Laffey, exhibited the Grand Champion Market Barrow. Laffey is the son of John and Kendra Laffey and is a member of the Maryville Saddle Club.

The Reserve Grand Champion Market Barrow prize was aided to Mackenzie Manson of Archie.

Vendors from around the state are throughout the entire fair visiting with guests and showing off their newest products. The Missouri Department of Conservation, Missouri State Highway Patrol, Missouri Farm Bureau and others are available throughout the fair to help educate visitors of all ages.

Alan Jackson and Lee Ann Womack performed a sold out show in the Pepsi Grandstands. A representative from the Missouri State Fair said over 11,000 tickets were sold.

Service members are being honored over the weekend by the Missouri State Fair.
