JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Jody Teague, the Best in Show winner of the 2018 Focus on Missouri Agriculture Photo Contest, will serve as the official photographer for the 48th Missouri Governor’s Conference on Agriculture.
“The Department is determined to help more Missourians visualize the positive story of Missouri agriculture through our annual photo contest,” said Director of Agriculture Chris Chinn. “We’re excited to establish a new tradition of inviting our Best in Show winner to serve as the official Missouri Governor’s Conference on Agriculture photographer. As a farm mom and photographer, Jody is the perfect person to help us kick-off this tradition.”
Teague took the top prize in the contest with a photo of a cattle drive on her family’s 160-acre farm in Cole Camp, Mo. Jody, along with her husband Kevin and three children, raise cattle and horses on their farm. When she’s not helping on the farm or taking photos, Jody dedicates her time as a registered nurse for Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia, Mo.
As a photographer and farm mother, she has an inherent talent in sharing how agriculture is a deep part of her family’s life.
“When God gives you beautiful land to work, you take the opportunity to capture the moment,” Teague said.
The 48th Missouri Governor’s Conference on Agriculture will be held Jan. 10-11 at Tan-Tar-A Resort in Osage Beach, Mo. To see the full conference schedule and register, visit [agriculture.mo.gov/conference]Agriculture.Mo.Gov/conference.
