4 hour stand-off in Chillicothe being investigated by MSHP Division of Drug & Crime Control

CHILLCOTHE, Mo.- The Chillicothe Police Department attempted to execute a felony search warrant Friday, August 18, 2017, which led to a 4-hour standoff with the fugitive.

According to the release, officers with the Chillicothe Police Department along with assistance from the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to a resident in the 1100 block of Broadway Street in an attempt to execute a felony arrest warrant from Johnson County, Ks. Officers were allowed access into the residence and made contact with the wanted subject who was armed with a handgun.

Weapons were discharged and an approximate four hour stand-off ensued before Chief Rick Knouse, with assistance from the Livingston County Coroner Scott Lindley, was able to initiate actions which resulted in the subject’s arrest.

Minor injuries were reported by the unidentified subject and he was transported to Hedrick Medical Center for treatment. The Division of Drug and Crime Control for the Missouri State Highway Patrol is leading the investigation into the shooting.
