I-70 accident hurts driver from Lawson

COOPER COUNTY, Mo. — The Highway Patrol was called to the scene of a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 70 Thursday morning.

A crash report indicates the accident occurred at the 113 mile marker of in eastbound lanes of I-70 at approximately 10:15 a.m. Thursday.

A vehicle driven by 37-year-old Amy R. Dahlin, of the state of Virginia, slowed for traffic congestion ahead of her. A second vehicle, operated by Lawson resident Cory E. Poling, 26, was traveling behind Dahlin’s sport-utility vehicle when Poling struck Dahlin’s automobile in the rear.

Poling was moderately injured in the collision. He was treated at University Hospital in Columbia.
