RAY COUNTY, Mo. – A new arraignment date has been set for an Excelsior Springs man accused of pointing a firearm at a child.

The new arraignment for Duane R. Loomis, 57, was needed after Ray County Associate Judge, Lori Jeanette Baskins, recused herself from the case at the start of July. Carroll County Associate Judge, Joe Don McGaugh, was then assigned to the case. Loomis is charged with felony counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child in the first degree, Armed Criminal Action and Unlawful Use of a Weapon.

The arraignment is scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, August 17, in Carroll County.
