The Lone Jack Historical Society is inviting children of all ages to join the 10th annual Walk with Civil War Spirits for Halloween.  Spokesperson Paul Clum says the event is like a step back in time.

“We do have people outside in our park area,” who he says “will be talking to visitors in small groups, kind of reinacting the spirit of someone who lived here 150 years ago when the battle took place.”

The walk takes place on the Lone Jack Civil War Museum and Cemetery grounds at 301 S. Bynum, Lone Jack.  Participants are encouraged to dress for the weather.

Tours will run between 7 and 9 p.m. Wednesday evening.  The event is free but donations are accepted.
