Accident causes vehicle fire, leaves three injured

CALLAWAY COUNTY, Mo. — An accident in Callaway County resulted in both vehicles catching fire left three people injured.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Donna Binkholder, 28, of Holt’s Summit was northbound on Highway 54 on the Westbound ramp at South Summit Drive at 7:19 this morning. Binkholder turned into the path of a second vehicle driven by Megan Cantlon, 24, also of Holt’s Summit. Both vehicles came to rest partially of the roadway and caught fire.

Binkholder reported moderate injuries and was transported to Capital Regional Hospital by Callaway County EMS for treatment. Cantlon and an occupant of the vehicle, a newborn baby girl, both reported having minor injuries and were transported to SSM Health Center by Cole County EMS.
