SALINE COUNTY, Mo. — A Marshall man accused of multiple child-sex related crimes will appear in a Saline County courtroom Tuesday.

According to court documents, Anthony Gerst, 18, is charged with three felony counts of statutory sodomy or attempted sodomy – deviate sexual intercourse with a person less than 14 years of age as well as a single felony allegation of third-degree child molestation.

Gerst was charged after a juvenile victim told police that Gerst had carried out sexual acts on the victim beginning in October 2017. The accused allegedly told officers he has a history of sexual aggression and that he is unable to contain his urges.

Gerst is currently held at the Saline County Jail on $150,000 cash-only bond.

He is slated to go before a judge in Marshall at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday for a hearing.
