Accused Shooter to Appear in Court

The plea/trial setting for a Dawn resident accused of opening fire is scheduled Tuesday morning.  David Hughes, 36, is accused of shooting at Paul Estes and Brandi Thompson at a home in September.  He has been charged with assault, armed criminal action, and discharging a firearm at a person.  He will appear at 9:00 a.m. morning.
