Driving while intoxicated is just the latest charge pending in a Carrollton woman’s criminal file. Jennifer McDowell, 28, was taken into custody following a brief pursuit Monday morning. The chase ended in a crash west of Carrollton. Neither the deputy nor the occupants in the suspect’s vehicle were injured. Carroll County Sheriff Troy Hofstetter said McDowell was wanted in Ray County for an alleged assault earlier in the morning and when his deputy spotted the SUV, he began following it.
McDowell and two other subjects were taken into custody. Robbie Acton was arrested on several outstanding warrants. Brandon Adkins was booked and released. McDowell is facing a number of charges including resisting arrest and failing to stop for an emergency vehicle. She is being held in the Ray County jail.
