Council approved an ordinance to execute an agreement between the city and Consolidated Waste Industries, for the transfer of the city of Marshall’s solid waste at the transfer station operated by CWI.

Latimer says this will save the city time and money, because the city now has to take the solid waste to the Sedalia landfill.

The Marshall Municipal Band will celebrate their 92nd season by kicking it off the evening of June 5th on the community’s square.

Latimer says the city will also be celebrating their birthday in conjunction with this event.

Latimer says there will be food and drinks available prior to the concert.

Latimer also made an announcement of an increase in city revenue for the community through a raise in sales tax numbers.
