Alcohol a factor in Adair County crash

ADAIR COUNTY, Mo. – The driver was cited after a one vehicle crash injured both occupants in Adair County Tuesday night.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol crash report, Christopher T. Jones, 25, and his passenger, Marcus Jones, 24, both of Kirksville, were moderately injured in the crash around 8:00 p.m. Tuesday.

Apparently, Jones traveled off the right side of westbound Route H, 12 miles southwest of Kirksville.

The vehicle returned to the roadway, went off the left side and overturned. Both men were treated at Northeast Regional Medical Center.

The driver is accused of driving while intoxicated, no insurance and careless driving involving an accident.
