Alcohol, Marijuana Top Charges

The Missouri Highway Patrol pulled over a speeder Monday morning in Grundy Co. and eventually took the driver into custody.

According to the report John Smiley, 30, of Trenton, was allegedly intoxicated and did not immediately pull over. Smiley was charged with felony DWI, possession of marijuana, speeding, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle and driving while suspended.

Smiley was placed in the Grundy County Jail for a 24 hour investigation.
