The Independence Police Department has issued an Endangered Silver Advisory for local resident Leonard L. Vaughn.

He is described as a white male, 79 years of age and approximately 5’ 9″ tall. He weighs 160 pounds with gray hair, blue eyes, wearing a black and gray sweater with plaid shirt, blue jeans and black Slippers. Mr. Vaughn also has tattoos on his knuckles that spell out the words “Love”, “Hate” and the letter “S” on his left forearm.

Vaughn is diagnosed with dementia and was last seen at his residence in the 1400 block of South Ralston Saturday night at 10:52. It is reported he was going to Parkville when he left without a coat.

The Independence Police Department has issued an Endangered SILVER Advisory for a missing adult incident that occurred at 1436 South Ralston, Independence, MO at 10:52 PM on 11/23/2013.

The endangered SILVER advisory missing adult is Leonard L. Vaughn, a white, male, age 79, 5 feet 6 inches, 160 pounds, gray hair, blue eyes, wearing black and gray sweater, plaid shirt, blue jeans
and black slippers.  Unique characteristics:  tattoos on knuckles “love” and “hate” and tattoo of letter “s” on left forearm.

Diagnosed Medical Condition(s):  Dementia

Brief circumstances regarding the Endangered Silver Person incident:

Subject was last seen at the residence last night at approximately 10:52 PM.  Subject had talked about going to Parkville, MO.  Subject did not have a coat.

Anyone seeing the missing person, suspect, associate, or vehicle, or anyone having any information related to the endangered missing person should immediately dial 911 to contact the nearest law enforcement agency or call the Independence Police Department at 816-836-3600.
