“Alice in Wonderland, Junior” is a shortened production of the Broadway musical.

About 20 performing spots are available. “There is, of course, Alice. And if you know the story, there’s the Cheshire Cat, the Queen of Hearts, the King of Hearts. There’s the Petunias, and the White Rabbit, and all of those different characters that are in the normal Alice in Wonderland story.

Auditions will be held Thursday from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Farris Theatre in Richmond. They are open to students in fifth through eighth grade. The musical will be November 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.

Practices will be held two to three days a week for about eight weeks leading up to the performance. Children need to bring a parent or guardian to their audition.
