Alleged Drug Smuggler Skips Court Date

An Orlando, Florida resident failed to appear in a Saline County Courtroom Tuesday morning.  The judge revoked 62-year-old Ken Cheng’s bond of $10,000 and issued a warrant for him, with the bond reset at $25,000 cash only.  Cheng was arrested in March after State Troopers discovered more than 50 pounds of marijuana concealed in commercial bags labeled as “tea” during a stop on I-70.  He is charged with attempting to distribute a controlled substance.
