Alleged Meth Possession Causes Arrest

Officers in Chillicothe made a traffic stop in the 1200 block of Third Street last week. They then arrested Randy Painter, 30, for suspected possession of methamphetamine and possession of a stolen vehicle.

Painter has been charged in Livingston County with possession on a controlled substance and tampering with a motor vehicle. His bond is set at $50,000, and he remains in custody at the Daviess DeKalb Regional Jail.

He will appear for a preliminary hearing Wednesday morning at 9:00.
