A Richmond man is scheduled to appear in a Ray County Courtroom Tuesday morning.  Landon Walker, 20, is charged in connection to a May 22nd shooting at a home in the 800 block of East Lexington Street.

The shooting prompted a lock down in the Richmond School District and a brief manhunt.  Police said Walker was arrested about one hour later in the 200 block of South Camden Street.  Nobody was seriously hurt in the incident.

Walker has been charged with one count of felony possession of a controlled substance, three felony counts of assault, one felony count of armed criminal action, and one felony count of unlawful use of a weapon.  He also faces the misdemeanor charges of unlawful use of drug paraphernalia, leaving the scene of a shooting, and leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident.

Walker’s bond is set at $20,000, cash only.

His pre-emptory docket hearing will be held at 8:30 a.m.
