An Alma man is scheduled for a hearing Wednesday morning.
Dennis Schmalz, 61, is charged with a total of eight felonies. Those include two counts of distribution of a controlled substance, and one count each of maintaining a public nuisance, possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a firearm, receiving stolen property, resisting arrest, and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.
Schmalz was arrested June 6th at his residence in the rural Alma area. Authorities served a search warrant at his home, where they reported discovering illegal drugs, paraphernalia, and firearms.
He is being held on bond of $100,000.
Schmalz will appear at 9:00 in a Lafayette County Courtroom.
