Altamont man charged with stealing motorbike in Daviess County

DAVIESS COUNTY, Mo. — A resident of Altamont is facing felony charges after allegedly stealing a dirt bike from an Altamont basement sometime between June 15 and 28.

Court documents show that 33-year-old Robert Brian Wilson is charged with felonies for second degree burglary as well as for staling a motor vehicle.

According to a probable cause statement filed in a Daviess County courtroom, Wilson broke into a residence in the 14700 block of Reel Avenue in Altamont sometime in late June and stole a dirt bike belonging to a resident.

The bike had been stored inside a locked basement, the probable cause statement alleges. It was reportedly worth more than $1,400.

Wilson is currently in custody at the Daviess-Dekalb Regional Jail, held on $15,000 cash or surety bond, with conditions.

He is set to be arraigned in a Daviess County courtroom Tuesday morning at 9:00 a.m.
