American Red Cross Lifesaver Awards

Ten extraordinary individuals will be recognized for their efforts to save a life on Tuesday. The American Red Cross Heart of Missouri Chapter is hosting the Lifesaver Awards at 4 p.m. at the North Jefferson City Pavilion. There will  be a barbecue dinner from 4-7 p.m. of hamburgers, hot dogs, sides, and a soft drink. The event features a juggler/magician, the chapter’s emergency response vehicle, a helicopter, and a live and silent auction. The awards ceremony will begin at 6 p.m. followed by the live auction. Winners of the silent auction will be announced at the end of the evening. The cost for the event is $15.00 for adults and $5.00 for children 10 and under.

  • Cimberly Crafton and Jeff Arnold, employees of Ozark Central Ambulance District, Belle
  • Steve Barnes, Jefferson City – Firefighter Lifesaver Award
  • Brandon Irwin, Callaway County – Good Samaritan Lifesaver Award
  • Jefferson Police Department Officer Meredith Freidman – Law Enforcement Lifesaver Award
  • Dr. Rick Bohon, DDS, Columbia – Medical Lifesaver Award
  • Dwight McDonald, USMC, Russellville – Military Lifesaver Award
  • Steve Duncan, Jefferson City – Blood Services Lifesaver Award
  • Charles “Gib” Graham, Mexico – Youth Lifesaver Award
  • Jerry Carroll, Moberly – Jeri Lawson Volunteer of the Year
