SULLIVAN COUNTY, Mo. – A Milan man was denied a bond reduction yesterday, but allowed a furlough to enter a drug treatment program by a Sullivan County Judge.

Travis Von Shaw, 47, appeared with his attorney Thursday morning, on felony charges of possession of a controlled substance, unlawful use of a weapon, unlawful possession of a firearm and driving while revoked or suspended. Shaw was arrested May 11, after being stopped by a Missouri trooper for driving with expired license plates.

The furlough dates will depend on bed availability at an inpatient facility.
