Andrew County accident may be alcohol-related

ANDREW COUNTY, Mo. – A St. Joseph, Mo. woman was hospitalized following a two vehicle crash on Highway 71, just south of Route A inPolice-Featured-3 Andrew County Sunday morning.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports Allie R. Nauman, 24, of Mound City, Mo., was stationary in the right lane of Highway 71, about 6 miles north of Savannah, Mo., when the rear driver side of her vehicle was clipped by the passenger side of another northbound vehicle driven by Erin T. Casey, 25, of St. Joseph.

Casey’s vehicle overturned and came to rest in the driving lane. Nauman’s vehicle was pushed off the right side. Casey was transported to Mosaic Life Care for treatment of minor injuries.

Following the investigation, Allie Nauman was arrested for 2nd Degree Assault by DWI, Possession of Marijuana and Failure to Place a Vehicle Not in Motion Nearest to the Right-Hand Side of the Highway. She was taken to the Andrew County Jail to be held for a 24-hour investigation.
