Andrew County crash hospitalizes area teen early Tuesday

ANDREW COUNTY, Mo. — A crash just north of St. Joseph sent a driver from Rueter to an area hospital early Tuesday morning.

A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Interstate 29 northbound, six miles north of St. Joseph around 12:50 a.m. Tuesday.

A vehicle driven by Breann H. Rumage, 17, of Reuter, lost control on the icy roadway, sending it off the left side. A second vehicle operated by Radu Badan, 27, of Frisco, Tx. also lost control and struck Rumage’s car.

Rumage, who was not wearing a seat belt according to the report, sustained moderate injuries.

She was taken by ambulance to Mosaic Life Care for treatment.
