Apparent Misinformation Released in Jury Trial Schedules
KMZU News has confirmed that the jury trials for Hardin teens Randy Estenbaum and Jeffrey Ellis will be held as previously scheduled. Early Friday morning the news department received an email generated from the court system stating that the proceedings had been cancelled. After speaking to officials at the Ray County Circuit Clerk’s office, it appears as though the email was mostly likely due to a “flaw” in the system and the information contained in it was incorrect. Estenbaum and Ellis continue to maintain their innocence on charges related to acts they they and several other juveniles allegedly carried out in a high school locker room last fall. Estenbaum will face a jury trial in June and Ellis will do the same in July.
