Area Family In Need Of Assistance

A fire Thursday night destroyed a Higginsville home and claimed the family’s possessions. They are in need of assistance. The list includes clothes and shoes, as well as some household items. If you would like to help, you can drop off items at the First Baptist Church in Higginsville Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. A phone number and list of items is posted below.

Here is the list of needs for the family who lost everything in a fire Thursday night.

The girl is 7 and wears size 7 tops and 7 slim pants, size 1 or 1 1/2 shoe. The boy is 10 and wears 8/10 tops and size 8 pants, size 3 shoe. Socks and underwear and hygiene items have already been purchased.

Adult sizes needed: women’s size 11 jeans and large tops, men’s size 32×34 pants and large shirts.

Any household items, furniture items are needed since they lost everything. Twin beds for kids or bunk beds would especially be helpful.

A TV and queen size bed/box springs have already been donated.

The kids enjoy coloring, crafts, Legos, books, and dolls.

Any items can be dropped off at First Baptist Church M-F 8-5 (closed from 12-1). Call 584-7165 for drop off of furniture items.
