LAFAYETTE COUNTY, Mo. –¬†At a hearing Wednesday in Lafayette County, formal arraignment was postponed for a Lexington woman held on felony drug charges.

The court took up a motion to reduce bond for Jennifer R. Copeland, 44, which was objected to by the prosecuting attorney. After consideration, the bond was left at $75,000 but the defendant will be allowed to post 10% of that in cash.

Copeland and Emmett L. Grieme, 36, were arrested after drugs were seized during a search of their residence in August of this year. Copeland is charged with Drug Trafficking in the First Degree, two counts of Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Amphetamine or Methamphetamine Paraphernalia and Maintaining a Public Nuisance.

The next hearing for Copeland will be on the morning of November 7, 2018.
