Press Release from the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office

Last week the LCSO spent significant time working on a variety of criminal investigations involving the reported theft of jewelry from two homes in the southern part of Livingston County. Deputies and the Linn County Sheriff searched a home in Linn County with the owners consent and were unable to locate any of the stolen items or additional evidence.

We unsuccessfully searched a section along U.S. 36 with metal detectors for some of the jewelry but the investigation has since led us to a residence in Kansas City, Missouri. We were able to recover a stolen bracelet for one of the victims and learned that additional item(s) had been there. Information obtained in the investigation alleges that one victim was targeted because she used to be employed by the Missouri Department of Corrections.

We arrested Rochelle Ann (Lee) Coltin, 43, Marceline, on a Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged class C felony Stealing of property valued between $500 and $25,000. Ms. Coltin remains housed in the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail in lieu of $15,000 bond.
