There has been an arrest in the investigation of a fire that destroyed the Vikings Club in Carrollton. Tiffany Nichole Chilton, 24, is charged with second degree arson, a felony. According to court records, the Carrollton resident’s bond is set at $25,000.

In the early morning hours of August 11th firefighters were dispatched to South Mason Street around 2:30 and found a large portion of the structure engulfed in flames.   Area residents said the circumstances surrounding the fire seemed suspicious. One person was taken into custody shortly after the fire, but was released that same day.

The Missouri State Fire Marshall’s report, released this month said the cause of the blaze was undetermined, which left the investigation open.
