HENRY COUNTY, Mo. – A hearing for the woman accused of attacking her boyfriend with a baseball bat, was postponed Friday morning in Henry County.

The public defender assigned to Christina Lynn Ellis, 57, of Clinton, appeared to ask for more time review the case. Ellis is being held on a felony charge of Domestic Assault in the first degree. Authorities say Ellis claims her boyfriend was threatening to kill her when she struck him at least five times with the bat. The boyfriend was flown to a Kansas City hospital, where he was treated for a fractured skull.

Ellis is scheduled to appear for the next criminal setting at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, July 27, 2018.
