The Highway Patrol was notified shortly after 1:30 that a Clinton County Deputy was pursuing the man’s vehicle. The Patrol aided in the chase down I-435. The Kansas City Police Department set up spike strips near the Highway 152 intersection, which caused the vehicle to be disabled.
The 34-year-old was taken into custody without incident. He was transported to a local hospital for a gunshot wound in his face. No officers or civilians were harmed.
