KMZU’s Sandi Wilson spoke with Jeffrey Smith, Organizer for the Tournament which takes place on August 2nd.

This tournament is going on at the Edwin A. Pape Lake in Concordia. Patrons do need to bring their own gear as well as a valid fishing license, lake permit, tackle rod/reel and boat.

Registration opens at 5:00 a.m. at the ramp and the fee is $50. Anglers cannot cast until the tournament starts at 7:00 a.m.

There are 4 weigh in times: 7-9 a.m., 9-11 a.m., 11 a.m.-1 p.m., and 1-3 p.m. Based on 30 entries, 1st place will get paid $100, 2nd place $75, 3rd place $50, 4th place $25. These will be paid out during each weigh in.
