Both MFA and Jones and Company Carnival found a total of 14 batteries missing from their semi-trucks. The estimated total loss if valued at about $2,000. Police believe the thief or thieves will try to sell the batteries at a scrap yard for a fraction of their real value. Anyone with information on the crime is being asked to contact the Lexington Police Department at (660) 259-2121.
