Beamgard to appear for case review Monday morning over 2016 Odessa murder

LAFAYETTE COUNTY, Mo. — A Missouri man accused of murder will be in a Lafayette County court room on Monday.

According to court documents filed in the Lafayette County Circuit Court, Ryan Beamgard, 30, of Independence, allegedly shot two people during a home invasion in Odessa. One person was wounded in the altercation and another was killed.

He was last in court on May 6, where he entered a not guilty plea, according to court records.

Six felony charges were filed against Beamgard in May of 2016 over his alleged involvement in the shootings. He is charged with felony second degree murder, two counts each of felony first degree assault and felony burglary in the first degree as well as a felony for stealing a motor vehicle and two felony counts of armed criminal action. He is currently in custody at the Lafayette County Jail on a $500,000 bond.

Beamgard is slated to go before a judge at 9:00 a.m. Monday for a case review in a court room in Lafayette County.
