BOA Moves Forward on Several Water-Related Projects

Alderman approved work on a portion of a 200-foot and 600-foot section of collapsed pipeline.  While the work is being done to the big section, the board decided to repair some old water pipes that are also under that road.  They also decided to redo the street and put in a curb and gutter on a section of Wells street.

A contract regarding the water tower was signed at Monday’s meeting.  The specialized utility corporations services and maintains the structures and performs work Odessa employees are not able to do themselves.  The city will pay $127,000 a year for the first three years of the contract.
