Boat Nearly Sinks In Osage River

Three people swam to safety when their boat began sinking Friday in Osage County. According to the Water Patrol, 38 year old Daniel Kingsley and 39 year old Denise Kingsley of Fulton, along with 30 year old Robert Poindexter of Columbia were fishing below the lock and dam on the Osage River, when their vessel got caught in a boil below the waterfall of the dam and began taking on water. The boat was eventually released by the waterfall and recovered partially filled with water.
