Bond remains at $250,000 after reduction hearing in Pettis County

PETTIS COUNTY, Mo. —¬†An accused child molester was refused a reduction in bond during a hearing in Pettis County Thursday morning.

The motion for Eric W. Fields, 43 was objected to by the prosecuting attorney and the court denied the motion.

Fields is charged with five counts of attempted statutory sodomy in the first degree and misdemeanor furnishing pornography to a minor following an investigation by Sedalia Police.

A probable cause statement alleges Fields began molesting a male juvenile for two years, beginning in 2012.

Fields’ bond remains at $250,000, cash or surety. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for September 13.
