Bond Revoked For Chillicothe Man

Bond was revoked for a Chillicothe resident on Tuesday. Richard Berry, 34, was originally charged with two counts of statutory sodomy.

When he was taken into custody in February of 2012, bond for Berry was set at $250,000 cash only.  This was amended following a preliminary hearing in March to $50,000 cash or corporate surety.  Berry posted the corporate surety and his been free on bond since March 29, 2012.

According to online court documents, the court has now found cause that Berry violated his bond by consuming opiates and using marijuana.  Bond has now been reset at $25,000 cash only.  Berry is next scheduled to appear on Wednesday morning  for a plea/trial setting.
