Bond set for $50,000 for Lafayette County man on multiple felonies

A Lafayette County man is held on $50,000 bond after police arrested him for multiple felonies.

Police responded to the scene of a crime where a probable cause statement alleges Kyle Flaherty, 23 intentionally hit his step father on a driveway with his vehicle.

Flaherty drove away erratically, blowing past multiple stop signs. Police discontinued the pursuit after learning Flaherty had two children in his vehicle. Deputies were able to locate Flaherty through a phone location.

After being stopped by law enforcement, Flaherty admitted to the crimes and said he regretted everything that happened.

He is formally charged with domestic assault in the first degree, armed criminal action, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child in the first degree and resisting an or interfering with an arrest for a felony. There are no future court dates.
