UPDATE: BREAKING NEWS — Crash reported on 65 Highway south of Chillicothe

UPDATE: 11/21/2017, 1:40 p.m. — KMZU’s Sara Miles was at the scene Tuesday and said that crews had blocked off the northbound lane of traffic after instituting a detour to Route H, however the accident has now been cleared and traffic is flowing normally.

It was not immediately clear if anyone involved in the crash was injured. Further details will be provided as soon as they are available.


LIVINGSTON COUNTY, Mo. — KMZU News has confirmed reports of a multi-vehicle crash on 65 Highway south of Chillicothe.

Reports indicate the accident happened in the Avalon curve shortly before 11:15 a.m. Tuesday and involved multiple vehicles.

According to reports, at least one eighteen-wheeler was involved in the accident and was leaking fuel onto the roadway.

The northbound lane was partially blocked and drivers are encouraged to use caution in the area. A spokesperson for the Highway Patrol told KMZU News that emergency personnel are currently en route to the scene.
