Brookfield search warrant yields small amount of meth and 2 arrests

BROOKFIELD, Mo. – The Brookfield Police Department reportedly took 2 local residents into custody last week after a search warrant was issued at their residence in Linn County.

A probable cause statement indicates that police executed a search warrant in the 100 block of West Clayton Street Wednesday, November 2. They interviewed both subjects during the search, identified as Kenneth Mayberry, 60, and Tammy Mayberry, 49.

They were both allegedly found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and multiple baggies of methamphetamine. The total amount of meth was reportedly just over 22 grams.

According to online records both suspects are charged with the class C felony of delivery of a controlled substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana or synthetic cannabis. Bond for each individual was set at $50,000.

Future court dates for the defendants are pending in Linn County Circuit Court.
