Brunswick woman hospitalized following collision on US-24 in Chariton County

CHARITON COUNTY, Mo.- A Brunswick, Mo., driver was hospitalized following a collision on US-24 Highway in Chariton County this morning.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Chariton County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene at around 8:00 a.m., a quarter mile east of Brunswick. It was determined that two vehicles were traveling eastbound when one pulled to the shoulder, attempted a U-turn and struck the vehicle as it moved into the westbound lane to pass.

Cherie Davis, 62, was the driver of the vehicle attempting to make a U-turn.

The filed accident report indicates Davis suffered moderate injuries as a result and is being treated at Moberly Regional Medical Center.
