MISSOURI — A couple of area municipalities are instituting burn bans as weather conditions will be perfect for fires to spark Friday.

According to officials in Lexington and in Pettis County, residents should refrain from setting any types of flames outdoors until further notice.

The National Weather Service in Pleasant Hill said that warm temperatures, high winds and low humidity will create the perfect storm for blazes to take off.
