Dr. Roger Drake will take over as the new President of Central Methodist University Monday, July 1st.

Drake was selected by the university’s board of directors in early February. The board’s search was prompted by the retirement of Dr. Marianne Inman who served as President of the university for 18 years.

Drake’s credentials include an MBA  and a Doctor of Education degree from Vanderbilt University and just concluded 8 years of service as Vice President at Lindsey Wilson College in Kentucky. His duties there included Chief Financial Officer as well as overseeing the accounting, planning and human resources departments. From 1992 to 2004 he was Vice President for AAA Mine Service in Hazard, Kentucky.

Dr. Drake will be the 26th president in the history of Central Methodist going back to 1854.
