The Cameron Police Department is asking the public for help in locating the person behind an early morning armed robbery. Witnesses said the suspect entered the Casey’s General Store on East Evergreen and demanded money. This is the second Casey’s store in Cameron to be robbed in the last 48 hours. The suspect in Friday morning’s robbery is described as 5-11 to 6-feet tall. The suspect was wearing a hot pink sweatshirt and sweatpants, black boots, and black gloves with some type of yellow design or writing on the top.
Police are also investigating a robbery that occurred at about 5:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Casey’s store on West Grand Avenue. According to police, the suspect in that case is described as a white male approximately 5’10″ to 6″0 tall. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt pulled tightly around his face and either a black or dark green Carhart-type work coat and black pants.
Officer Chubick told KMZU News that the two robberies did not appear to be related, however she said they could not rule out the possibility. Anyone with information is being asked to contact the Cameron Police Department at (816) 632-6521.

On February 8, 2013 at 1:02 a.m. the Cameron Police Department was dispatched to the South Casey’s General Store, located at 305 E. Evergreen, Cameron, MO, in reference to an armed robbery in progress. Upon arrival, Officers were informed a male dressed in hot pink had just robbed the store.
The suspect is described as a tall and slender male, unknown race, wearing a black ski mask, hot pink hooded sweatshirt, hot pink sweatpants, and black boots. The suspect was armed with a silver revolver. The suspect was observed leaving on foot west bound from Casey’s.
Only employees were present at the time of the incident and remained safe. If anyone has any information in reference to this incident, please contact the Cameron Police Department at (816) 632-6521. An award of up to $1,000 will be rewarded for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible.
