Car Thefts Lead to Juvenile Arrests

The Carrollton Police Department is wrapping up an investigation that began with the theft of three vehicles late Friday night into early Saturday morning.

The automobiles were taken from the 400 block of North Folger, 1300 block of Ruby St. and the 800 block of West 13th Street.

One vehicle was involved in a crash on the Carrollton Square where it was later recovered.

The initial investigation led to the arrest of three juveniles in Grundy County Saturday afternoon while they were still in possession of the two remaining stolen vehicles. The three suspects were questioned and admitted to their parts in the thefts and also taking checks and other valuables from the automobiles.

All three suspects and details of the investigation are now in the hands of juvenile authorities.
