Car Trick Results in Accident

Two Richmond residents received minor injuries in a Ray County crash Wednesday afternoon.  The Highway Patrol reports Jacob Vandiver, 21, was westbound on 72nd street at Route T when he rounded a corner and intentionally accelerated to make the vehicle slide.  He then lost control and traveled off the side of the road, where the vehicle overturned and came to rest in a ravine.  Both Vandiver and his passenger, Christopher Burstert, 22, refused treatment at the scene.
