Carroll Co. Sheriff Issues Warning

The snow and blizzard-like conditions are wrecking havoc on the listening area.  There have been a number of accidents reported across the KMZU listening area.  Click to hear KMZU’s Janet Adkison talk with Carroll County Sheriff Troy Hofstetter:

“Just stay home,” Hofstetter said. “MoDOT is doing the best they can right now, but the high winds are making it difficult.  If you don’t have to go anywhere, don’t.”

Hoffstetter added that the wind shifted power poles along Highway 10 between Carrollton and Norborne.  KCP&L was notified, and the highway was reopened after about an hour.  According to Hofstetter, the roads they’ve checked are ice and snow covered which has lead to several vehicle slide-offs throughout the county.
