The Carrollton City Council approved the 2013 annual budget last (Tue) night. Administrative Assistant Terry Bell says the communities finances are mapped out but there’s flexibility if something should occur…
“The budget is just a guideline it’s nothing in concrete stone so figures are changed through the year if there’s anything big in any department.”
Any modifications to the plan must be approved by the council.
“The income projected for 2013 is $2,898,640 and the expenses that we have in from all of the departments is $2,348,609. Bell says “most of the remainder of those funds will be designated for Fund 4 which is our sewer fund.”
Each city department including the library, Walnut Hills, the park and airport submit their own budget. Each plan is kept in city hall and available for public review.
